That Key Lime Colada you had in Hawaii? Here's the recipe.

First blend the vanilla rum, piƱa colada mix, and pineapple juice in a blender with ice. Pour the mix into a glass and add the Keke Beach Key Lime liqueur so that it sinks slowly into the mixture. To complete, top it off with whipped cream and graham cracker crumbs.

Fresh cocktail fanatics that we are, HawaiiMagazine.com has an alternative version, which doesn’t require premixed ingredients. It does take muddling some fresh fruit (which we always love doing), but doesn’t require a blender.

HAWAII Magazine Lime Colada

Muddle together in the bottom glass of a Boston shaker:

1 chunk fresh pineapple
2 wedges fresh lime
1 tsp. sugar

Top the mixing glass with ice cubes, then add:

2 oz. pineapple juice, fresh if you can get it
1 oz. Coco Lopez coconut cream
1.5 oz. of your favorite rum

Shake thoroughly and pour entire contents into a tall hurricane or collins glass.

Our lime colada is a little lighter than Kolohe’s, but you can always top it with whipped cream if you like.
