Lost creators, cast participating in Hawaii International Film Fest seminars, Q&A

A full day of Lost master class seminars covering topics ranging from producing and directing the show, to production design, costumes and props will precede the evening event, on the afternoon of Oct. 17. Classes will be held at the Regal Dole Cannery Stadium 18 Cinemas (735B Iwilei Rd, Honolulu). Here’s the schedule:

• “Producing and Directing a Hit Show”
   12 noon-1:30 p.m.
   Instructors: Lost executive producer/director Jack Bender and co-executive producer Jean Higgins

• “Bringing the Design of Each Episode Together”
    2 – 3:30 p.m.
    Instructors: Lost location manager/associate producer Jim Triplett, production designer Zack Grobler, director of photography John Bartley and construction coordinator Michael Crowe

• “Costume & Props”
    4 – 5:30 p.m.
    Instructors: Lost costume designer Roland Sanchez and prop master Robert Kyker

Ticket prices for "Evening with Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse" are $50 each for the general public and $35 each for HIFF Ohana members. Master class seminar tickets are $10 general public, $9 for students, seniors and military, and $8 for HIFF Ohana members.

The Royal Hawaiian Theater is located in the Royal Hawaiian Center at 2201 Kalakaua Ave, Waikiki.

This year’s 29th annual Hawaii International Film Festival is set to run Oct. 15 to 25, 2009, at Regal Dole Cannery Stadium 18 Cinemas on Oahu. The fest’s complete film schedule, featuring more than 170 films from 40 countries, will be released later this month.

The sixth and final season of Lost will air on ABC in January or February 2010.
