Teri Beef
Marinate thinly sliced beef in Hawaii-style barbecue sauce (see #5: Hawaii-style barbecue chicken) overnight, then grill. That’s basically all there is to making teri beef (“teri” being the shortened form of “teriyaki”)—a Hawaii plate lunch staple. As with Hawaii-style barbecue chicken, the sweet-and-tangy marinade used here seems all but invented to accompany sides of rice and macaroni salad.
