A just-announced “Hawaii Now” airfare sale from Alaska Airlines includes one-way flights between Hawaii and several Mainland and Alaskan cities the carrier serves for as low as $149.
Discounted airfare deals include direct and connecting flights from more than 37 cities to Oahu, Maui, Kauai and Kailua-Kona on the Big Island. The catch? You’ll have to book your reservations by Aug. 15, for travel this fall between Aug. 23 and Nov. 10, 2010. Also: seats are limited.
Among the lowest-priced one-way fares Alaska Airlines was promising on its website:
• Portland, Ore.-Kahului, Maui $149
• Portland, Ore.-Honolulu, Oahu $149
• San Jose, Calif.-Kailua-Kona, Big Island $159
• San Diego, Calif.-Kahului, Maui $159
• Seattle, Wash.-Honolulu, Oahu $169
• Seattle, Wash.-Lihue, Kauai $179
• Anchorage, Alaska-Honolulu, Oahu $199

The Seattle-based carrier also announced that it was adding a daily direct flight between Bellingham, Wash., and Honolulu, Oahu, beginning on Jan. 7, 2011. Daily flight times will be:
• Bellingham, Wash. to Honolulu, Oahu
Departure: 5:20 p.m. (West coast time)
Arrival: 9:40 p.m. (Hawaii time)
• Honolulu, Oahu to Bellingham, Wash.
Departure: 10:25 p.m. (Hawaii time)
Arrival: 6:05 a.m. (West coast time)
Tickets for flight will be available for purchase beginning Aug. 5 at alaskaair.com or by calling (800) 252-7522.
Alaska Airlines did not immediately announce an introductory fare deal for the Bellingham-Honolulu route. We’ll keep you posted if it does.
UPDATE, 8/5/2010: Alaska Airlines announces an introductory fare for its Bellingham-Honolulu route: $149 one-way for tickets purchased by Aug. 17, 2010, for travel between Jan. 7, 2011, and March 10, 2011. Introductory fare sale starts today.
