Details
A day-long celebration will be held at the Hilton Waikiki Prince Kuhio to honor the namesake of the hotel, Prince Kuhio, and his birthday on March 26. Live music, hula, Hawaiian games, local crafters and artisans, a hula workshop and activities will be offered throughout the ceremony, emceed by Kahu Blaine Kia.
Schedule of events:
10:30-11 a.m. Opening Ceremony and Lei Presentation
11-11:30 a.m. Hands on activities, Hawaiian music, traditional Hawaiian games, Lei making, Hawaiian demonstrations, etc.
11:30 a.m.-12 noon Live Hula with Kahu Blaine Kia and his wife, Kaleonani
12 noon-12:30 p.m. Hands on activities, Hawaiian music, traditional Hawaiian games, Lei making, Hawaiian demonstrations, etc.
12:30-1 p.m. Prince Kuhio Civic Club Coral Performance
1-1:30 p.m. Hands on activities, Hawaiian music, traditional Hawaiian games, Lei making, Hawaiian demonstrations, etc.
1:30-3 p.m. Hula Workshop
3:15 p.m.-4 p.m. Hands on activities, Hawaiian music, traditional Hawaiian games, Lei making, Hawaiian demonstrations, etc.
4-5 p.m. Final Hawaiian Show
