Two Hawaii airlines offer competing fare sales starting at $52 for one-way interisland flights

Ready for some island hopping? Both Island Air and Hawaiian Airlines are offering one-way, non-stop interisland flight tickets starting at $52.

If you want to score these dueling deals, though, you’ll have to act fast. The sales at both airlines are already underway. Island Air’s special will run through midnight (Hawaii time) on Thurs., March 12 and Hawaiian Airlines’ through midnight (Hawaii time) on Fri., March 13. Both company’s deals are for travel dates between March 10 and May 21, 2015.

Island Air’s $52 special includes all of the carrier’s direct flights including both-direction service between Oahu and airports on Kauai, Lanai and Maui. Though the airline’s sale applies to all dates in the travel window, some times on certain routes may be unavailable under the sale. The carrier’s promotional fares are available only through IslandAir.com and cannot be refunded or transferred, additional taxes and fees may apply. You can learn more about Island Air's special and book tickets at their website here.

Hawaiian Airlines has matched the $52 pricing of routes also serviced by Island Air. The larger airline is also offering discounted rates on its other interisland routes, including those to Molokai and Hawaii Island. Specials on Hawaiian Airlines’ one-way non-stop flights to the island of Molokai from Maui and Lanai start at $59; flights between Oahu and Molokai start at $69. Flights to two Hawaii Island locations—Kailua-Kona and Hilo—from either Oahu or Maui start at $75, and direct flights between Maui and Kauai also start at $75. All of Hawaiian Airlines’ discounted fares are for Monday through Thursday travel dates only and some times on certain routes may be unavailable under the sale. The discounted fares on some of the routes already include taxes and fees, others don’t. To read the fine print or to book the Hawaiian Airlines sale, click here.
