Two Hawaii-based airlines offer interisland sales, one-way flights as low as $59

Two Hawaii-based airlines—Island Air and Hawaiian Airlines—have fare sales happening now. Island Air’s one-way non-stop flights are offered for as low as $59, and Hawaiian Airlines’ discounted tickets start at $68. To take advantage of either, you’ll have to book in the next few days.

While Island Air offers the cheapest option and the most flexibility with travel dates—from $59 for its one-way, non-stop flights on any day between now and August 31, 2015—the airline’s recently reduced flight routes mean you’ll have to be coming from, or going to, Honolulu (Oahu), Kahului (Maui) or Lanai City (Lanai). To take advantage of Island Air’s sale, you must book by Thurs., July 16. The discounted tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable and include some taxes and fees (others may apply).

The cost of Hawaiian Airlines’ discounted tickets vary depending on route—flights between Honolulu and Kahului are the cheapest and start at $68. Tickets booked through their sale are inclusive of all taxes and fees and are being offered through Mon., July 20. Hawaiian’s route map includes stops on Kauai and Hawaii Island—neither serviced by Island Air—but you’ll have to wait ‘til September to take your discounted flight. Hawaiian’s fare sale is only valid for travel on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between Sept. 1-Sept. 30. Routes in the sale include: Honolulu-based flights, to Kona (Hawaii Island), Lihue (Kauai) and Hilo (Hawaii Island) starting at $78 or $80, and all flights with one terminus in Kahului—and the other in Lihue, Kona or Hilo—starting at $78.

Discounted flights on both airlines are subject to availability.
