Just because you’re on vacation in Hawaii and away from familiar neighborhoods doesn’t mean your keiki (child) has to forgo trick-or-treating. Check out these kid-friendly events in Hawaii where you and and your family can safely celebrate Halloween.

Hawaii Island

Whalers Village Trick-or-Treat
Friday, Oct. 30

There will be a mall-wide trick-or-treat with complimentary bags for your keiki from 4 to 6 p.m. Directly after, Hula Grill is hosting a child and adult costume contest at 7:30 p.m. Those that come to Hula Grill in a costume that night will receive 25 percent off. Halloween Keiki Costume Contest

Kahala Mall Costume Contest and Trick-or-Treating

On Friday, take your costumed-keiki to the Kahala Mall center court for the costume contest with prize categories for best family/group, under-1, 1-year-old, 2-years-old, 3-4 years old, Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd-3rd grade, 4th-6th grades, most original, cutest/funniest and judges’ choice awards. The North Shore’s newest shopping center is holding a keiki costume contest and trick or treating event.
