Mana Up just made its retail debut on Maui this May.

Located at Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows on the island’s West Side, The Mana Up Market highlights one-of-a-kind products from local entrepreneurs who participated in Mana Up’s esteemed accelerator program.

From decadent chocolate sweets made by Farm to Fudge and wildly flavorful hot sauce by Hi Spice to candles and organic skin care by To Be, locals and visitors are invited to check out premium products by companies from the Valley Isle along with a variety of Hawaiʻi brands at this new retail space.

Mana Up is a state-wide accelerator program well known for working with Hawaiʻi-based entrepreneurs on growing their consumer brands with the goal of also expanding economic opportunities in the Islands. Over a six-month course, the program leads a cohort of companies through in-depth workshops and provides mentorships, resources and sales opportunities for the brands to expand within Hawaiʻi and beyond. Mana Up is preparing to announce its 10th cohort.

“We’re proud to be in West Maui,” says Meli James, co-founder of Mana Up. “And it aligns perfectly with Royal Lahaina where we can highlight Maui businesses through integrative story telling.”

Mana Up’s retail experiences highlight the stories of these creative entrepreneurs and innovative artisans along with their exciting products. The retail spaces provide a place for residents and visitors to shop locally while also gaining insight into rising brands across Hawaiʻi. By shopping at one of these markets, you’re supporting local businesses and learning about the latest trends and hottest products in the Islands.

“We’ve always tried to shine a light on local businesses, so a collaboration with Mana Up just makes a lot of sense,” says Nicholas Kuhns, the general manager of Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows. In addition to sourcing nearly half of its ingredients from local farms and producers at its restaurant, the resort also provides a venue for local musicians to perform at the Branches.

Situated within the resort’s lobby, visitors, residents and of course, hotel guests, are welcomed to visit the shop stocked with products from Mana Up alumni, like travel-size condiments of Maui Chili Chili Oil, delectable lilikoʻi butter by Liko Lehua, colorful pareos and beach towels by Tag Aloha and artwork of the Valley Isle by Nick Kuchar.
