Whether you believe Mai Tai Day is on June 30 or Aug. 30, you’ll still want a killer mai tai recipe to impress your friends and family. Fortunately, The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua has shared with us how to make its Signature Mai Tai, which is served at its in-house restaurant, Banyan Tree. Check out what ingredients you’ll need, and how to make it, below.
1 oz. dark rum
1 oz. amber rum
2 T. fresh orange juice
1/2 oz. Cointreau or triple sec
1 T. fresh lime juice
1 tsp. orgeat syrup* or 1 drop pure almond extract
1 tsp. granulated sugar
Shake ingredients and strain into glass.
Garnish with orange slice.
