With three food trucks on Kauaʻi—Kapaʻa, Hanapēpē and Kōloa—this business is all about elevated local-style musubi. From musubi stuffed with panko-crusted ʻahi katsu to musubi filled with baked tofu, you can choose your favorite iteration of this classic Hawaiʻi dish. Of course, you can grab the OG Spam Musubi with baked Spam over steamed rice, sweet kabayaki sauce and furikake. The food truck also serves poke bowls and bentos.

2. Fresh Bite Farm to Beach

Fresh Bite Farm to Beach is a go-to spot for nourishing, farm-to-table meals in Hanalei, Kauaʻi.

This family-run food truck has been a favorite in Hanalei since 2016. Fresh Bite Farm to Beach is known for serving hearty salads, fresh wraps, filling bowls and sandwiches on poi buns. You can also enjoy refreshing poi bowls topped with fresh fruit and granola, as well as specialty hand-cut fries, including fries made with purple sweet potatoes. The business supports local farms and vendors, incorporating seasonal fruits and vegetables whenever possible.

3. Al Pastor Tacos

Al Pastor Tacos is a Kapaʻa gem, famous for its fresh fish and al pastor tacos. The taco plates come with two tacos, salsa fresca, guacamole, rice and beans. The spot also makes a hearty loaded fish burrito, fish tostadas and steak quesadillas.

4. Tony’s Catch

Also located in Kapaʻa, this food truck is not only one of the best on Kauaʻi but also one of the best in the U.S. Tony’s Catch in Kapaʻa was named Yelp’s No. 1 food truck in 2025. Owner Tony Diaz opened the business in 2022 and quickly built a cult following thanks to his ultrafresh Zicatela-style mahimahi tacos, which include generous portions of fish topped with a pineapple-cilantro slaw.

5. Baja Chalupa’s 

Located in a white-and-red food truck in Kōloa Town, Baja Chalupa’s is one of the best food trucks on Kauaʻi, known for its al pastor and blackened fish tacos. The business also serves burritos, enchiladas, quesadillas and more.
