8 Sweet and Creative Ways to Celebrate Valentine’s Day in Hawaiʻi

The essence of Valentine’s Day is spending time with your kuʻuipo, or sweetheart. In Hawaiʻi, there’s no shortage of ways to make Feb. 14 memorable. Here are creative ways to spend Valentine’s Day in Hawaiʻi.

Local bakeries and confection shops are rolling out Valentine’s Day-themed treats. At Chinatown bakery Mille Fête, led by James Beard Award-winning Chef Robynne Maiʻi and pastry chef Katherine Yang, you’ll find decadent specials, including the berry pour deux, a chocolate cake filled with raspberry whipped cream and covered with milk chocolate. The lemon-raspberry whoopie pie features raspberry white chocolate mascarpone ganache and lemon cream sandwiched between two soft lemon cookies. Other standout specials include adorable strawberry chocolate spritz cookies and black-and-raspberry cookies. 

Inspired by classic conversation heart candies, Honolulu Cookie Co.’s XOXO Heart Box offers a way to share sweet sentiments. Available in stores and online, the Paradise Heart Tin is another fun option for Valentine’s Day.
